Censorship is election interference
According to one source who works in the Republican party in Washington, Republican posts on Facebook and Instagram reach half the people that they are intended to reach, while Democrat posts reach everyone. Conservative videos on Youtube are deprecated and not as easy to find.
Even Google’s search engine blocks people from finding conservative information. The website you are on now (www.28thwa.com) is impossible to find on Google, even though we have completed all the steps for Google Search Engine Optimization. Try this: Go to Google and type the phrase “28th Legislative District Republicans.” You’ll get the 28LD Democrat website, not ours. Now, go to DuckDuckGo and try the same search. You’ll find our website about 6 or 7 results down.
If that weren’t bad enough, even Republican emails go to spam at a very high rate. My source tells me that emails containing right-leaning content go to spam about 50% more than emails containing left-leaning content. Here’s a screenshot I just took of my spam folder. Maia Espinoza is a Republican running against T’wina Nobles this year in our district. If you’re expecting email from her or any of our candidates, or even 28thwa.com, check your spam folder.
This post will serve as a place to document instances of censorship of Right-leaning content. After all, how can we have free and fair elections when one side is being actively suppressed?
